Post Treatment Care

  • No exercise or alcohol 48 hours post treatment
  • Ice every 8 hours for 10 mins as needed.
  • Tylenol as directed as needed
  • Avoid sleeping on your face or excessive facial massage for 48 hours
  • No facial treatments (brows, facials etc) or massages for two weeks
  • After treatment, your skin may look bruised, reddened, irritated, or have localized swelling. These symptoms can take a few weeks to fade. The length of time for discoloration depends on your body’s ability to reabsorb the iron in the treated vessels.
  • You make take Tylenol for discomfort.
  • The use of graduated compression stockings is required for a continuous 48 hours immediately post-treatment. After 48 hours it is recommended to wear the compression stockings 2-3 times a week during the daytime.
  • For 5-7 days after treatment avoid heavy exercise, direct sun exposure, long plane flights, hot showers, saunas, or baths.
  • It is important to walk 15-30 minutes immediately after treatment. Repeat this daily for 3-5 days.
  • Avoid standing for long periods of time.
  • Treatment may be repeated in 4-6 weeks. Some individuals may require 3-4 treatment sessions.
  • If the extent of the varicose veins requires >10mL of the solution, you may need to come back in 1-2 weeks for repeat treatment.
  • Makeup can be applied immediately after
  • Normal activities may be resumed immediately after
  • No downtime besides warming and flushing of the skin
  • Deep massage immediately post-treatment and 2x/day throughout your entire series. Massage the treated area with the PHYSIQ post-care lotion using significant pressure
  • Increase H20 intake before and after treatment to help flush out the lymphatic system to provide optimal results, quicker.
  • Limit alcohol consumption for 3-4 days post treatment and keep it to a minimum thereafter to maximize results.
  • A gentle walk or light exercise are beneficial post treatment. Strenuous exercise should be avoided for 48 hours post treatment. Other activities that elevate body temperature (steam rooms, hot tubs, saunas) should be avoided for 48-72 hours.
  • Avoid prolonged direct sun exposure for 2 weeks post treatment. If you do go in the sun, cover up the treated area and wear a sunblock with SPF 50 or higher.
  • Your next PHYSIQ treatment can be scheduled in 1 week.
  • Regular skin regimen can be resumed after 2 days
  • Avoid self-tanners for 1-2 weeks
  • Avoid exercising for 1 week

  • Apply moisturizer as often as required, several times a day, to prevent the skin from becoming too dry. Only use the treatment cream recommended by your treatment provider.
